Hydrogen safety for enclosed spaces
Hydrogen is central to decarbonising industry, transport and energy storage. When it is stored indoors, in containers, cabinets or plant rooms, a leak can accumulate quickly. Our EMS is designed to detect leaks early and act automatically.
Hydrogen storage in enclosed spaces
The EMS monitors control volumes around storage tanks, cylinders, pipework, valves and connections. Each control volume is checked continuously, so operators see exactly where a leak is occurring rather than just that one exists somewhere on site.
Preventing possible explosions
Hydrogen ignites easily, so the response matters as much as the detection. When a leak is detected, the EMS can:
- raise local and remote alarms
- shut off valves automatically to isolate the hydrogen supply
- trigger fire suppression systems
- log the event for later review
Configured to your installation
No two hydrogen installations are the same. We map the site into control volumes, choose the right EMS version (Mini, Standard, or with HMI display) and set the alarm thresholds and automatic actions to match your safety plan.
Typical hydrogen applications
- Hydrogen storage rooms and containers
- Electrolyser and fuel cell installations
- Refuelling and distribution equipment
- Laboratories and test facilities using hydrogen
